Yoga can address different aspects of yourself, to maintain health and wellbeing or to support healing and improve health, where we can begin to feel more comfortable and peaceful with ourselves. Yoga is preventative in nature, but it can also be restorative, palliative and curative in many instances. There is a growing body of eveidence to show how Yoga can be therapeutic for many physical and mental health conditions.


I work holistically and collaboratively and I am interested in developing a trusting relationship with you, where your authenticity and wellbeing is key. Tools that we can explore include, breath work, postures, voicework, meditation, relaxation techniques, diet and Ayurveda lifestyle, depending on your needs and interests.


Yoga can be used as therapy, either on its own or alongisde other treatment for conditions like;

Who is this suitable for?


    • You are committed to developing a personal Yoga practice
    • You have a therapeutic need you wish to address with a home practice (stress, anxiety, sleep issues, energetic or structural problems, breathing difficulties)
    • You're interested in deepening and extending your practice of Yoga – working with more demanding postures and techniques not usually taught in a group class
    • You would appreciate more detailed feedback and advice on your practice
    • You find that committing to a regular class is very difficult


How does it work?

An initial consultation session usually lasts 90 minutes, where we will explore how you would like Yoga to support you and how it can be integrated into your daily life and your health and wellbeing needs. I will then devise a home practice which I will guide you through during the session and write out for you to practice at home. Based on your feedback, subsequent sessions build on this initial practice and can develop in many different ways.


Frequency of sessions entirely depends on your choice and what seems appropriate and possible for you. It is best to initially commit to a minimum of four sessions to get started and feel the benefits.

Subsequent half hour sessions: £20

I would like to make these teachings accessible for all, regardless of income and means. If for any reason you cannot afford the full rate, I offer a low-cost option. Please contact me for further details.

 

I am still able to offer one-to-one therapy sessions in person as per Government guidelines. Sessions take place in our garden studio in Folkestone, which is COVID secure. I also offer sessions on Zoom and Skype if you prefer.
